Samuel Francart is a French multi-medium artist with a particular attraction to fluid materials such as paper or textile.

His work lists and recounts the trips he made to France, Spain and Greece. These kinds of « new imaginary cartographies » are nourished by multiple references in which different memories coexist: personal, collective and historical memories. The artist plays with the potential of the world's landscapes by fragmenting Space and Time in order to create unique territories. Each artwork is a mosaic created by fragments of experiences (pieces of fabric recovered from Greek islands, shapes found on walls, patterns inspired by ancient ruins or even compositions borrowed from masterpieces of art history...).

At the same time, Samuel explores the boundaries between painting and sculpture through the structure of the “roller blind”. These moving frames thus rethink the Albertian definition of painting. He also reworks certain codes from art history such as the technique of atmospheric perspective.

His work is an ode to the beauty of the World as well as the beauty of Creation.
